Located on 109 N. Fort Harrison Ave. Clearwater, FL 33755, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights hold a seminar about the Mental Health Law in Florida (the Baker Act).
The seminar is delivered by a former Legal Officer from a Rehabilitation Center to educate citizens on their legal rights and how they can protect their family when it comes to psychiatric involuntary commitment in Florida.
Most people are not aware that one’s child can be taken right out of school and Baker Acted, without knowledge or consent from the parents.  People need to know their rights so they can protect themselves and their loved ones.
At this seminar you will learn more about the mental health law, your rights and how the Baker Act is being misused.
