Open House for the International Day Against Shock Treatment

6PM to 8PM
May 17, 2019

PRINT

Today, the psychiatric industry in the United States alone takes an estimated $5 billion from Electro Convulsive Therapy per year.

In the US, 65-year-olds receive 360% more eletroshock than 64-year-olds, since Medicare (government health insurance) takes effect at age 65, evidence that the use of ECT is guided, not by medical compassion, but by profit and greed.

What about the children? Are they being eletroshocked?

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights holds this Open House to raise awareness about this form of psychiatric treatment and raise vital questions to guide parents and professionals in the field of mental health.

Guest Speakers:

  • Mari Frankel, Director & Producer of Foster Shock documentary.
  • Tyrone A. Jackson, Owner of Divine Images Production, Inc.
  • Claudia Arcabascio, Vice-President for Hispanic Affairs at the Citizens Commission on Human Rights.

When? Friday May 17th 7:00pm. Doors open 6:30pm.

Where? 2220 S. Dixie Hwy. Miami, FL 33133. 5th Floor.

Co-hosted by the Church of Scientology Miami.
