In 2009, $3,049,807.80 was reimbursed to Florida schools for Nursing Services, Psychology and Social Work services.
A total of $100,718.89 in Nursing services, for administration of medication and a total of $505,682.49 in Behavioral health services, was paid to our schools, via our tax dollars, and this is well above the figures for earlier years.
When did education become the field for vested interests whose agenda is to push psychiatric labels and medications, on our children?
In 1963, President Kennedy submitted the nation's first Presidential special message to Congress on mental health issues. Congress quickly passed a piece of legislation that began a new era in Federal support for mental health services. There was a six-fold increase in people using Mental Health facilities at that time.
As a comparison in Tax dollars spent over time, the outlay of money to various areas, by the Federal Government in 1950 was 92,191million with a deficit of 3,119million. By
2008 the outlay of money to various areas was 2,901,861million and the deficit was 239,387 million.
When mentioning the amount of money spent on mental health, we need to keep in mind that psychiatrists, themselves, admit that there is no scientific evidence for one single mental health disorder. While the FDA admits, and psychiatrists do not deny, that there are dangerous side effects and warnings placed on psychiatric medication that has led even a young 7 year old to allegedly hang himself (Gabriel Myers).
The fraudulent practice of labeling and drugging children is a concern to us all. In addition to the bleak picture painted with the above statistics, it is notable to evaluate the U.S Preventative Task Force recommendations to screen adolescents, 12-18 year olds for major depressive disorder. This recommendation, along with many others, is built into one Senate version of the proposed Federal health care bill.
School based Health Centers are, also, being recommended and proposed within this “Health” Bill.
Imagine the Medicaid Reimbursements if just these two programs were implemented, in addition to the already climbing figures of what schools are being given to handle our children as inmates in psychiatric wards instead of bright and intelligent students in school.
