Help for Children - What some experts have to say

Desperate parents, needing answers to their questions, needing to understand how to control their child’s behavioral problems, are soaking up the billions of dollars invested into high gloss, slickly marketed, ads that come in the form of magazine, television ads and articles in medical publications and parent magazines.

“Somewhere over the rainbow” and “once upon a time” has gone by the wayside for children of the millennium.  What is left behind for this vulnerable public is the subject of mental health, ADHD medications, anti-psychotics, multiple medications, diabetes, sudden death and suicide.

Unfortunately, the hyped controversy surrounding psychotropic medications vs. alternative medical approach, has only masked the true medical evidence that cannot be ignored and denied parents their basic human right to be fully informed about the risks and alternatives to drugs.

Consulting several renowned medical professionals across the nation, evidence is clear: There are Medical tests that can be performed to detect possible underlying physical problems that contribute to behavioral and mental health problems in children.

Dr. Fred Baughman, child neurologist and author of the book “The ADHD Fraud” speaks about psychiatrists and says "They made a list of the most common symptoms of emotional discomfiture of children; those which bother teachers and parents most, and in a stroke that could not be more devoid of science or Hippocratic motive--termed them a 'disease.' Twenty five years of research, not deserving of the term 'research.,' has failed to validate ADD/ADHD as a disease. Tragically--the "epidemic" having grown from 500 thousand in 1985 to between 5 and 7 million today--this remains the state of the 'science' of ADHD."

Dr. Timothy Scott, psychologist and researcher, has successfully treated countless cases of depression before Prozac, the first SSRI-antidepressant, came to market in 1987.  To suppose that depression could not be overcome without a drug ran counter to his own experience. As he examined the studies that gave rise to the chemical imbalance theory, he kept finding remarkably poor research designs had been used. In his book, “America Fooled”, Dr. Scott details how our nation’s public has been deceived by psychiatry into thinking that there is any valid research behind the mass drugging of our population.

Pamela Seefeld, Clinical Pharmacologist, grant reviewer for the National Institute of Health, has become the nations’ leading expert in alternative treatment for mental health and behavioral health symptoms, including homeopaths and botanicals.

Dr. Hyla Cass, psychiatrist, is very vocal about solutions to behavioral and mental health problems that do not include prescription drugs.  When you go to her website you will see that she works to treat the whole person.  She works to determine the deepest root causes, using scientific lab testing if needed and treat as deeply, naturally and safely as possible
These are but a few of the medical professionals who dedicate their careers to the practice of safe mental health care.

The bottom line for parents and individuals, is take the time to get fully informed.  Take the time to find out the facts.
