CCHR Florida does not give medical advice. We will refer someone who is experiencing the common side-effects of today’s psychiatric drugs to a practitioner who can help them. It is one of the most common complaints of those who have been in the mental health system that they were put on medications for their “disorder” and were told nothing about the side-effects. This is a violation of their patient’s rights. This violates the laws concerning Informed Consent. One should have been told of the full nature of the medication one is to be given, complete with known side-effects, and also ALTERNATIVES to taking drugs.
There are many alternatives to taking drugs for mental illnesses. Once a person has been thoroughly examined for physical illnesses, one can use other known, well-documented and effective measures in the health field that do not include drugs. CCHR Florida can refer a person on these proven alternatives to psychiatric drugs.
