The Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Florida
Unites with Former Foster Child turned Best-Selling Author, Elle Febbo

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Florida, (CCHR Florida) has teamed up with best-selling children’s author, Elle Febbo to raise awareness of the harms of psychiatric labeling and drugging of children.

As a child, the author was placed on antidepressants after sinking into a depression at just 10 years old after she’d been a victim of abuse. Not long afterward, she was abandoned by her mother, and raised in foster-homes until being adopted.

Today, she’s a Best-Selling Author, Speaker and tireless Child Advocate who has positioned her children’s book as a resource to serve, helping such causes as Reading Is Fundamental , Southern California, Orangewood Children’s Home, and recently The World Food Programme.

Elle stands committed to empowering our youth by sharing her story and powerful message : “You are loved beyond measure, just the way you are.”

“Parents and children should have the right to be fully informed of alternative treatments to psychiatric medication, and should also be made candidly aware of the potential risks and side effect which often result in serious illness, and sadly, even death.” Says Elle Febbo

CCHR Florida has printed a Special Edition Copy of “What Love Is A-Z” and a special campaign has been launched to get copies of the book out to children across the state.
